1st Meeting
I first meet Kane in August 1999 at Texas A&M. I was involved with a campus group called Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and every year before school officially started we had a game night where we brought in people from the dorms to get to know them. I was playing a card game called Egyptian Rat Screw when I looked up and saw a 6'4" blonde boy wearing a cloth cowboy hat standing in the entrance. I remember thinking that he must be a small town country boy. Well I asked him if he wanted to play and then proceeded to destroy him in the card game. I guess he thought I was a little too competetive because I kept slapping his hand HARD :O)
1st Attraction
I first realized that I was interested in Kane in . . . oohh. . . I am not sure but I think it was October of 1999. They have Renaissance Faire near College Station every year and I organized a trip with my roommate Kim and some other intervaristy people to go. Well Kim, Kane, Anthony, and I road in the same car and once we got there everyone stayed together to look around. Well Anthony walked off and disappeared. No one knew where he had gone and I knew that we could not leave without him. So at that point I became worried about the group getting split up further and Kane has a tendency to walk off and wonder. So i kept having to find him and drag him back to the group. After that we drove back (we finally found Anthony) and decided we would all get something to eat. Well while we were eating Kane and my roommate Kim were having a long debate and I found myself thinking why does he like Kim and not me. BANG i realized that I thought he was cute, but since I thought he was interested in Kim, I stopped thinking about it further. All that year you could see all three of us hanging around campus together.
