Proposal
The end of 2003 was hard on me and my whole family. My grandfather died that December and it was a crushing blow for all of us. It would seem that Kane had made plans to propose on January first, but we had my grandfather's funeral. So when we finally got to College Station it was January 4th. I was tired and a little depressed. Kane said that he had my Christmas gift, but he would give it to me later. Well January 5th that evening Kane said he would be making me dinner. So I was watching TV and relaxing. Kane would bring me drinks and talk to me from the kitchen. We ate dinner and then Kane asked if I was ready for my Christmas present. So he got my prsent it was WRAPPED which if you know Kane you know that most presents do not come wrapped. So i pulled the ribbons and opened the box to find allot of tissue paper in it. I am a ripper so I started tossing the paper out and I saw something fly into the air and fall into my lap. So i fished around and picked up something and looked down at it. There was a ring in my hand with a vlue heart saphine in it. I looked up at Kane and he was on one knee and said "Will you marry me?" For some reason I just could not wrap my head around the concept so I answered "What?" Kane just looks at me and I said "Are you serious?" At this point I think that I had totally freaked Kane out. Kane said "Emily, of course." I finally said yes and we kissed! Quite a night!
The Ring
The thing I look forward to
Kane and I have been apart since I graduated from A&M in 2002. It has been hard with me being in Tulsa and Kane in College Station. I am looked forward to every morning waking up and knowing that he will be right there beside me :O)
